Biography

I've lived in District 32 for over 18 years, including 15 years in Ammon.   My family and I now live on 7 acres just
north of the Idaho Falls city limits.

I've been in Idaho since 1972, completing my secondary education in District 93 in 1983 and graduating from
the University of Idaho in 1988 with a Bachelor's of Science Degree and a minor in English.  That fall I
accepted a journalist position with a small, daily newspaper in Blackfoot where I learned the inner workings of
local politics by covering the city council and county commission beats.  I also wrote stories about the two
local school districts.

In early 1990, I accepted a journalist position in Idaho Falls.  I held that position for just five months before
being offered and accepting a technical writing job at the Idaho National Laboratory.  I was now a
second-generation Site worker!

I accepted a public involvement position in 1991 with the environmental cleanup program and have been
working closely with the public ever since.

In 2000, I met the love of my life, Fawn.  We were married in the fall of 2001, when I became not only a
husband, but a step-father to son Clancy.  Fawn and I have two additional children, Brooke (4) and Colter (1).

Our family loves to go camping in the summer and we have other hobbies including skiing, hunting, fishing,
and horseback riding.  We have a great love for the outdoors.
